Meet Marc Blake (The Music QB): Your Music Director
Marc Blake is known as the Music QB (quarterback). He is a musician, songwriter and producer. He's also a multi-talented artist; graphic designer, photographer, craftsman, luthier and produces promotional music videos. Marc is the music director for the projects handled by The Song Masters Network. He coordinates everything and fills the role of the liaison between the songwriters and The Network's team of talented studio musicians.
Marc operates five web servers hosting domains for a number of musicians. They appreciate that Marc is quick to lend a hand helping artists and bands with their web sites, marketing materials, and develop game plans to further benefit their musical and performance objectives.
Marc worked in the music industry (Hollywood, California) as a professional photographer in the 80's. He was often the "go to guy" and was donned a "pretty-painless photographer" by Don Henley. Marc has worked as a photographer with Stephen Stills, Donovan, The Beach Boys, Cyndi Lauper, Kenny Loggins, Michael Bolton, Pablo Cruise, Brian Wilson, Randy Newman, Paul Simon, Graham Nash, The Doobie Brothers, Yanni, Arturo Sandoval and many other artists.
In 1988, he traveled on a songwriter's summit into the Soviet Block — at the time when "Glasnost" was finding its way into Soviet policy and culture. Along for the summit were famed songwriters Barry Mann, Mike Stoller, Desmond Child, Harold Payne, Michael Bolton, Cyndi Lauper, Brenda Russell, Albert Hammond, Alan Roy Scott, Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, Diane Warren, Gregory Abbott, Todd Cerney, Emanuel and executives from CBS Records and BMI.
Blake also worked for MTV on the west coast photographing their video award parties. His photos have been used by Rolling Stone and other industry publications.
